Korean food and karaoke

Korean foodOne thing I love about living in Japan is that even in a relative smallish city like Okazaki you still have alot of good options when you want to go out to eat. Today was a friends birthday party so we started by going to a korean restaurant. Her boyfriend is korean and showed us the twists and turns of how to eat korean food properly. The food was great! I’d name the dished, but even if i’d heard the names, I’d have forgotten them by now. Atleast I have a picture…

Afterwards we went to karaoke. It’s been a while since my last karaoke session, but today I got a new injection and I think I might have to go back again soon. The boyfriend had a simply amazing voice, and is to this day the best amateur singing voice I’ve ever heard. It’s always great when you can both enjoy the singing of others and have fun doing it yourself, even though it always felt kinda bad singing right after someone singing Aerosmith songs better than the original…

Looks like the korean food we ate with Rune and Sachiko in Tokyo. Or at least the same kind of dish?

Well, it’s in a pot, bot other than that it doesn’t look similar at all to me. By the way, going to a baseball game tomorrow, might be fun. Will try to get a few pictures.
